Dear all members,
To start off, I would like to wish all our members and families a very Happy Sonam Lhochhar Jiwa Lho 2056. I hope this year brings many opportunities, successes, good health and fortune to you all.
This year we started off our Lhochhar celebrations with a special puja in the morning of Saturday 25th January 2020 at BCCUK Gumba performed by Ken Rinpoche Lha and lama gurus for longevity and prosperity of all our members. The puja then continued in Empire Hall, Aldershot where we were very fortunate enough to receive wang and blessings from lama gurus. This was organised very well by our own Lama guru Prem Lama, Mani ama Chandra Maya didi and team and Dharma Tamang dai so, I would like to say a very big thank you to you all.
Every year we try to make our Lhochhar as special as we can. Embracing our culture and traditions and making it enjoyable for everyone.
As the lead singer of Mongolian Heart and Coach of Voice of Nepal, we were very fortunate to have the iconic guest artist Raju Lama perform his greatest hits including Tamang selo. Raju Bhai exceeded any of our expectations and has made this one of the most memorable and outstanding Lhochhar. Thank you Raju bhai for not only a great performance but also your support in increasing the awareness about our Tamang Dhim project and scholarships for underprivileged children in Nepal. Thank you to our volunteers for the safeguarding of Raju Lama.
I would like to give my sincerest thank you to the very talented artists Mhendomaya and selo singer Ramala Pakhrin baini and to Prakash Gurung bhai for both of your exceptional performances which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Also, a big thank you to our own local artists Anil Lama, Lalu Lopchan baini and all the artists and dancers; your performances were amazing.
The entertainment was organised so well and I would like to give credit to entertainment IC Bimala Tamang didi and Satya Aditya bhai who kept it all running smoothly. Further thank you to presenters Secretary Mani Raj Tamang Bhai and Bhabika for the great commentary and engagement with the audience.
The food was very nice and sufficient for all the members so, thank you to food IC Bhim Tamang bhai, Vice Hom Lopchan jojo and Gangu Tamang dai and team. Thank you to Treasurer Laxmi baini, Raju Mamba bhai and team for your hard work.

A big congratulations to the individuals receiving an outstanding achievement.
This Sonam Lhochhar event was outstanding and a huge success and would not have been possible without the help and support of our executive team, all our volunteers and advisors. Thank you all for your unconditional love, support and continued hard work. This was a joint achievement to host one of the greatest Lhochhars ever. Thank you to each member for attending and we hope you had a fantastic time and enjoyed the event with family and friends.
I would like to give my gratitude to all the members who are supporting our Tamang Dhim project including 2 more new pledges where one was fully paid on the same day, and also for the generous support for our underprivileged children in Nepal.
Also, a very warm welcome to 5 new members registered to the society.
I would like to take this opportunity to say this will be the last Lhochhar with the current executive team and this has been a very successful 4 years. This would not have been possible without the love, trust and support of every member of this society. So from the bottom of my heart I thank you all. As with this Lhochhar and every event, TSoUK shows a strong cohesiveness and unity which we shall continue to strive with.
